The Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve was thoroughly explored by twelve thrill-seeking families from across Manitoba last weekend; it was the fourth annual Caching Riding Mountain Adventure Quest . Using handheld GPS (global positioning systems) and their wits, the teams followed programmed coordinates to “cache-in” on over 50 amazing sites and challenges.

First place was once again taken by Treasure Hunters, who returned to defend their title as number one!

Every year the Adventure Quest has different locations within the biosphere, the diverse landscape providing the perfect atmosphere to explore mixed terrains and see wildlife (one group even spotting a mother bear teaching her three cubs to climb a tree). Stay tuned for more photos!
